woke up this morning
and the sky was blue again
winter is over now
spring is in the air
flowers are blooming now
summer's coming

indeed after the winter of midyr exams, uni exams and the final lap for poly project presentations ... summer is coming. since the people of d8 who are schooling are having our summer holiday now and the army guys just POP-ed, we headed down to singapore's island resort ...

after the monorail ride and very hot tram ride, we finally arrive at the end of siloso beach!! :D

upon arrival, some people started getting in the water. even people who weren't prepared to get into the water decided to linger along the shores also got dragged in ... there was however a lot of difficulty getting cheong jing into the water despite having shuyi and myself drag her into the water.

we then divided into teams for a volleyball game which didn't last long ... on one side was shuyi, cheong jing, calvin, ding jie, julian and myself and on the other team was benedict, daniel, sihui, jen, lijun and cavin!

calvin beautifully captured this photo! the sun that burnt our skin BADLY! do not be alarmed by lobster-coloured people of d8 during service this weekend. LOL.

we started packing up at abt 5pm to shower and head back to the main land for a good and cheap dinner at harbourfront food centre. similarly, the lazy bum bums took the tram back to the monorail station. ;p

after having multiple servings at the food centre (due to severe starving before that), we went to toys r us to find another fellow cg mate WAN CHIN who was working there! we then continued to wreck havoc around toy r us ... the photos prove it all. LOL.

... who tried to turn the annoying and lame daniel chew into a prince ...

... but failed terribly. so kids, morale of the story is that as powerful as fairy godmothers can be, some people are just beyond redemption. HAHAHAHA.

whatever it is, one whole day spent as a cg was indeed great fun! although we all ended up looking like we came out of a pre-heated oven at 200 degrees, well ... at least we'll have a cg identity this weekend - the sunburnt cg!
